Happy Tuesday Lighthouse Sisters!
This week Dina Alma is sharing a beautiful and timely Word with us! Read on!
Put your trust in God.
“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.” John 18:12 NKJV.
One Mother’s Day morning (many years ago) I remember my children coming to my room so excited. They were laughing, and they joyfully let out the loudest, “Happy Mother’s Day Mommy! Get up,” they said, “we have a surprise for you.”
As I stood up from my bed there was another surprise, my son John was holding a blindfold. My eyes were covered, and I held dearly onto John’s hand trusting Him to lead me down what seemed to be the longest hallway ever. Through several rooms we went with my son moving me from left to right making sure that I did not walk into a wall or fall over any furniture. As I got to where I needed to be they sat me down, removed my blindfold, and screamed as loud as they could. “Surprise!” What was before me was a beautiful feast.
Amazingly, that is how the Lord does things too. He says, “follow me I have something for you.” “Something I want you to do, and although you can’t see it and it may not make sense to you TRUST ME.”
Even though you don’t quite understand, still you simply place your hand in His as you follow His lead.
“Trust me,” he says as he pushes the unnecessary things out of the way while replacing them with the things you will need.
Maybe like me, you too are at a place where you’re totally walking by faith. God has asked you to step out and trust Him and at times you feel like your blindfolded. You can’t see what lies ahead. You wonder if you’re going to hit your head on that wall or trip over the furniture.
No. Not at all. That will not happen when God has asked you to step out to trust Him, to follow his lead.
You can believe that He has already cleared the way for you to accomplish what He has asked of you. You’re not at all walking in darkness. He is your light, your guide. Just keep walking with Him, and you will arrive to His expected end.
Father God, Thank You for revealing to our hearts that You have something in store for us. Something that you want for us to do. We will put our hands in Yours, and trust You as you lead. God it is you who asks us to step out and trust you. Help us to follow your lead. In Jesus name, Amen.

1 Corinthian‘s 1:9 He is reliable, trustworthy and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on; by Him you were called into companionship and participation with His son Jesus Christ our Lord
